hello@recordatape.com is the fastest channel for anything personal: feedback, feature ideas, a tape that made your day, or a tape that should not exist.
Reporting a bug
Tell us three things and we can usually fix it quickly: what browser you used (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and roughly which device), what you clicked right before the problem, and what you expected to happen. If the search finds no results or a preview will not play, include the song you searched for.
Takedown and copyright
Tapes are encoded in links and are not stored on any server, so we generally cannot remove a tape ourselves. If a link shared with you contains content you believe infringes your rights, email us the link and the specifics; we will respond reasonably and promptly.
Response time
Best effort, usually within a couple of days. Record a Tape is an independent side project: no office hours, no ticket numbers, no support bots. During launch weeks it may take slightly longer.
One request: please do not include personal data about yourself or others in bug reports. A tape link is enough to reproduce almost every issue.
